• Grid Based Decision Support System (GRIDSS):-
  Monitor and map districts divided into grids of (9km x 9km) on identified parameters in a phased manner


• Community-driven Environmentally Sustainable Villages Programme (CESVP):
  To partner in implementation of environmental activities under ‘Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) and Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and for achieving INDCs and SDGs.


• Collection, Collation, Storage, Retrieval and Dissemination of information on Cleaner Production and Clean Technology through online and offline sources publishing quarterly newsletters, publications, information and knowledge products, mobile applications, website up-dation, etc.

GCPC-EIACP Objetives

Long-term objectives

• To build up a repository and dissemination center in Environmental Science and Engineering.
• To enable application of modern technologies of acquisition, processing, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information of environmental nature.
• To support and promote research, development and innovation in environmental information technology.

Short-term objectives

• To provide national environmental information services relevant to present needs and those capable of development to meet future needs of users, originators, processors and disseminators.
• To build up storage, retrieval and dissemination capabilities, with the ultimate objective of disseminating information speedily to the users.
• To promote national and international cooperation and liaise with agencies concerned for exchange of environment related information.
• To promote, support and assist education and personnel training programmes designed to enhance environmental information processing and utilizing capabilities
• To promote exchange of information amongst developing countries.
